During their slot at the ”Optimus Alive” festival in Lisbon on July 11, Pearl Jam hinted to the audience that they will be taking a long time from touring. Reading from a prepared sheet of paper, Eddie Vedder made the announcement in Portuguese saying:
“Thank you for coming to our last show,”
“Not our last ever, but our last in a long time.”
This being said at the beginning of their set they then continued the gig without anymore words about the break from touring.
